BSc in Psychotheraphy (Psychosocial Counselling)

Department of Psychosocial Counselling

The Bachelor of Science in Psychotherapy is a four-year, full-time, face-to-face programme designed to prepare competent, ethical, and reflective psychotherapy practitioners. It combines academic study with intensive clinical practical placements, enabling students to develop the knowledge, counselling skills, professional judgement, and supervised experience needed to support individuals, families, and communities experiencing psychological, emotional, behavioural, and social challenges. The programme is grounded in applied learning. Students engage with core areas such as psychological theories, human development, psychopathology, psychotherapy approaches, assessment, ethics, research, crisis intervention, and mental health promotion. Clinical practice is integrated throughout the programme, with placements in settings such as hospitals, prisons, schools, and other relevant community-based services.
