Overall Winner at the Uniservitate Global Awards 2026!

We are incredibly proud to announce that our research project, “Psychotherapy of Inmates in Prisons across Malawi,” has been named the Overall Winner at the Uniservitate Global Awards 2026!

The Uniservitate Global Awards recognize outstanding service-learning initiatives from universities around the world that combine academic learning with meaningful community impact.

Our project was recognized for its exceptional work in supporting inmates through psychotherapy and mental health care across Malawi's prisons.

Following a rigorous evaluation and jury selection process, the project was ranked first among the award winners. The award includes a €5,000 prize and sponsorship for a student, accompanied by a faculty member, to travel and present the project in Rome.

This achievement reflects Saint John of God University's commitment to research, service-learning, and creating lasting positive change in our communities.
